Bo'Ai School is a charity school, built with donations from people like you. To help create real and lasting changes in the lives of the children, and in order to operate the school to give a brighter future for the children, we need your help today.

Why give?

» Our operating budget is US $250,000 per year

» Although most students are provided uniforms, room, and board, their families pay one-third of the cost of their child's meals only

Make a Capital Project donation

• Solar Heating
  Solar heating is a capital project that we need to seriously consider. It is clean and environmentally friendly. Solar heating will be environmentally wise and save capital in the long haul. We have not done any cost inquiry that will provide solar heating for the Elementary and Middle School, the students' and the teachers' dormitories and the dining hall building.
• Athletic Field
  A Running Tract and Soccer Field is a requirement for an Elementary and Middle School in China. Bo Ai is a private school and at this time, Bo Ai is without a Running Tract and a Soccer Field. There is adequate land behind the Middle School for a 200 Meter Running Tract and for other tract and field events. In the center of the Running Tract, there can be a Soccer Field. The estimated cost of building the Tract and Soccer Field is US$ 714,000.
  We do not have any athletic equipment in the playing field. The children right now play jump rope, hopscotch, shuttlecock, games, calisthenics, ping pong, volleyball, badminton and basketball. We do need playground equipment in the playground, especially for the younger grades. The cost of the playground equipment is estimated to be US$ 5,000.
• Elementary School Teacher's Dormitory
  When the Elementary School was built in 2003-2005, it was built with substandard materials. The Elementary School Boy's Dormitory had to be remodeled in 2016 summer ago and the Elementary Education Building was remodeled the summer of 2017. The 2018 summer is an opportune time to remodel the Elementary School Teachers Dormitory. The three floor building, including heating ducts, radiators, toilets, bathrooms, bedrooms, needs a total repair and remodeling. The cost of the remodeling is US$ 95,000 (600,000 Yuan).
• Relaying of Water Pipes
  The winter of 2017 had been usually severe. The Fire Reservoir water pipes, the hot water pipes for floor heating and hot and cold water pipes providing water for daily usage to the three School Buildings and Fire Water Reservoir were laid under concrete roads, within soil, without readily accessible trenches and have been leaking during the winter. Hence 2017 winter, which had been intolerably cold, caused many students/staff to catch colds. The plan is to route the pipes within trenches, from the Boiler Room, to the Girls'/Teachers' Dormitory, to the Conference-MultiFunction Building, to the Fire Water Reservoir, to the Middle School Education Building, where they can be readily accessible and a worker can crawl in and not have to cut into concrete roads in the future. One can expect that the old pipes within soil will leak somewhere in the future. The cost of this plan is US$ 78,000 (490,000 yuan).

Endowment opportunities

To sustain the school into the future, we need to build up an endowment fund. You can donate through estate giving, donations in honor of a loved one or stock and bond donations. We envision that Bo'Ai School will see its students years into the future when they come out as adults of influence living fulfilling lives where their life transformation had started at the School.
